  6. Sadie's got the right idea! Ah, to bask in the sun! Love your photos, Nan!

  7. Thank you, Aisling. Sadie has spent the day going from the sun by the woodstove to the sun in a cooler room. Tough life. :<)

  8. I'd love to be lying in the sunshine, snuggling with Sadie.

  9. Hi Nan! Oh it has been too long. And here I find myself gazing into you home. Does this mean you are not being troubled by snow storms? Sadie is like your cat who will soak up any ray with vigor.

    Hugs from Holland ~

  10. Do you subscribe to the New Yorker? The Jan. 24 2011 edition has a drawing by the artist "Jorge Colombo", a NYC artist who uses an iPhone app to create his images. You can see more of his work at: http://jorgecolombo.com/drawings/index.htm.

  13. I think that one's my favourite of the three sets. Mind if I nick your idea and do a post with sunlight pictures myself? (Of course giving credit)

  16. Love the sunshine spotlight pictures. So peaceful and warming. I also enjoyed the previous post on the Bouvier sisters, i.e. Jackie and Lee. Indeed such a carefree book weighs heavier knowing what we know. Your blog is delightful.

  17. Kittie Flyn, oh no, you wouldn't! She doesn't like anyone but her family. She's quite the guard dog if someone strange appears and yet the sweetest girl imaginable with us. Might be her Rotty genes. :<)

Heidi, how very nice to 'see' you!!! We've had plenty of snow but lots of sunshine, too.

Ron, yes I do! I just looked at the cover and it is amazing. I didn't know that's how it was done. I'll check out his page. Thank you for telling me!

Staci, yeah, she has the right idea!

Linda, I can't seem to stop myself! The sun coming in has been so very beautiful.

Librarian, of course! And you don't have to give credit. :<) I just take pictures when I see something I love or think is so beautiful.

Lisa, I got mine for half-price at a store that was going out of business. I didn't even know who VB was. My daughter was impressed. For me, I just like all the pockets. :<) The check-out person at Home Depot told me his girlfriend collects them and has twelve so far!

J.G., that plant is amazing, amazing. Tom had it at school years ago and it got leggy so he cut it all back and brought it home. It has grown by leaps and bounds. I had to put it in the study all by itself on a rug because it is so big now. I even cut it back sometimes but it keeps right on growing. I ought to do a blog entry on it sometime. :<)

Joanne, what a very nice thing to say. Thank you!

Love your sunshine images. I did the same thing - think the same day :)
I love the sun shadows as they go from room to room.
