'Like a summer with a thousand Julys'

I've written about the song You Go To My Head before (twice!), but every July I find myself singing it. If you have ten minutes to sit and dream on this July evening, I think you'll love hearing and seeing Dianne Reeves.

  1. Lovely version. Did you ever see that movie Corrina, Corrina (with Whoopi Goldberg?)...a great soundtrack and that was one of the songs on it.
The book you are reading I have on interlibrary-loan - I think I am number 200 on the wait list. Hope they all read fast :)

  3. Beautiful. Thank you for introducing me to this artist and reminding me to listen to the poetry of these lyrics.

Nice horn and piano playing too.

  4. I am so very pleased you all liked it, and took the time to leave a note to say so.

Gosh, Susan it has been a long time since I've seen it. I watched with my kids when they were younger. I don't remember the song, but I do know she is also on the soundtrack of Good Night and Good Luck - the movie about Edward R. Murrow. I think I'll watch it again, and Corrina, Corrina. Thanks for reminding me of it, Susan.

Nan, of course I don't mind. The more people who see it, the better. I've bought two of her albums. I think she is just wonderful.

Mary Lois, I just love those old songs. I go back in time when I hear them. And her version is really lovely. "Our" Frank does it, too. It's on his Nice 'N' Easy album, which I bought on iTunes.
