Today's picture/Down the road

The photo was actually taken yesterday in the late afternoon by Tom. I just love the light and the mud and the footprints. At the bottom of this dirt road is the 'main' road, about .2 mile away, where the mailbox is.

  1. Mud--a sure sign of spring, eh?

  2. I love the "golden hour." Makes for the best photographs.

After our gorgeous afternoon yesterday, it snowed last night and was a whopping 2 degrees when I woke up this morning. Fortunately the sun is shining and it's up to 18.

  3. A real old fashioned mud road! Not necessarily nice in full mud season. But still, almost a relic from the past. So glad to see one.

    Yes, the light is beautiful!

  5. Ah, yes, mud season. Sometimes it is tough getting up our hill, but mostly we do okay. I'm thinking of doing an entry on frost heaves soon - much tougher to deal with than mud!
Our temps are up and down these days, too, Les. I think that's part of the sorta spring/sorta winter time of year.
Smilnsigh, there are a few dirt roads around here, and even more in some other more rural states. We do love it.
I've been doing just that recently, Nancy. :<)
We are 'out there' Lisa, but only three miles from town, and seven from the bigger, shopping town.
